Heart Support Australia is pleased to announce that our collaborative advocacy campaign in conjunction with the Heart Foundation and other key stakeholders to save the Medicare Heart Health Check has been saved after the recent budget announcement.
Following the budget announcement the Heart Health Check will be extended for another 3-years, and will no doubt continue to save thousands of lives and identify those who are at risk of developing cardiovascular disease and intervene earlier to address key risk factors.
Heart Support Australia wishes to thank the Heart Foundation who led this key advocacy campaign in conjunction with the other key stakeholders within the sector including Her Heart, ACRA, Australian Cardiovascular Alliance, Hearts4heart, Heart of the Nation, CSANZ, Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute and the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute.
