Heart Support Australia’s National Executive team comprises of experienced staff members who oversee and coordinate the trained volunteer peer support group leaders and hospital visitors across Australia.
Dr Christian Verdicchio – Chief Executive Officer
Dr Verdicchio is the Chief Executive Officer of Heart Support Australia bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience in cardiovascular disease, governance, corporate management, stakeholder relations and strategic advocacy to lead Heart Support Australia, overseeing all operational activities, leading the advocacy strategy on behalf of the patient voice and driving the organizations healthcare policy initiatives both in Australia and internationally. Becky Flores – Administration Officer
Becky oversees the organisation’s essential administrative services for Heart Support Australia’s national programs. As a dedicated team member she coordinates volunteer onboarding and maintains key systems that help ensure the smooth delivery of our Hospital Patient Visitor and Peer Support groups programs nationwide. Helen McLean – National Program Coordinator
Helen McLean is a highly regarded Registered Nurse/Midwife with a wealth of knowledge and skills in cardiovascular care. Helen has improved cardiac care through co-designing tertiary, secondary and community cardiac rehabilitation and chronic heart failure programs, First Nations heart health programs, and has developed new models of care including phone coaching and telehealth programs. Rondelle Oster – National Patient Visitor Instructor
Rondelle holds a Bachelor of Social Science and has worked in various roles within the South Australian state government for over 25 years. For the past nine years, Rondelle has worked with volunteers as she recruits, trains and provides ongoing support to them. Read more.
