HS-A Partners with University of Sydney, Westmead Research for a research paper on Atrial Fibrillation
HS-A has partnered with University of Sydney on a project about developing a risk prediction tool for new Atrial Fibrillation(AF)using echo in addition to clinical markers, with the idea that it could be implemented to screen patients for AF that may be having an echo.
Heart Support Australia conducted a members Heart Health Improvement and self management measures survey
The survey was conducted on 100 individuals with Heart Disease and gave us an insight into the need of a successful “Self Management of Heart Disease” to reducing cardiac complications and secondary prevention of Cardiac events.

HSA has signed an agreement with The University of Sydney Westmead Applied Research Centre (WARC) Faculty of Medicine and Health on the Rehabilitation research project “ Public Health and Chronic Disease Program Heart Disease and Stroke – Support for Recovery Grant (National peer support program to improve outcomes for people with heart disease”.
HS-A Partners with ACC Education for the Early Heart Attack Course
The Early Heart Attack course by the American College of Cardiology is based on education and participation. By participating in this program, participants become “deputies” who learn the early heart attack symptoms and provide immediate medical care in order to prevent a death or serious heart damage.
